Privacy Policy
Zwap is a currency and unit converter for iPhone, made by Praburaj Kennady.
Zwap collects nothing about you. There is no account and no sign-in. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.
What stays on your phone
Zwap remembers a few things so it behaves the way you left it:
- the currency pair, and the unit category and pair, you last chose
- your Haptic Feedback and Reduced Motion settings
- the most recent exchange rates, so conversion keeps working offline
iOS stores this on your device. It is never uploaded, and deleting the app deletes it.
The one network request
To show exchange rates, Zwap asks the Frankfurter API (frankfurter.dev) for the European Central Bank's daily reference rates. The request contains two currency codes and nothing about you.
As with any request to any website, the server that answers can see your device's IP address. Zwap has no control over what that service records, and sends it nothing else.
Unit conversion makes no network request at all — it is arithmetic done on your phone.
Copying and sharing
When you copy a conversion or share it as an image, iOS carries it to your clipboard or to the app you pick. Zwap keeps no copy and sends it nowhere.
Emailing from the app
Send Feedback and Report a Problem open your own mail app with a message to hello@praburajkennady.me. Report a Problem fills in your app version, iOS version and iPhone model, so the problem can be reproduced. You see all of it before you send, and nothing is sent unless you send it. Emails are used only to reply to you and to fix what you report.
Children
Zwap collects no personal data from anyone, children included.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date.
